Sequins, studs & Metallics:
This season the runways were bedazzled with sequins, metallics and studs on everything like tops, skirts, purses and shoes. So Don't be afraid to update and modernize your wardrobe by incorporating some lavishly embellished pieces into it. Be careful with this trend, do not mix up too many sequins into one outfit as it may look over-styled and may look inappropriate especially when heading out during the day. However, it is definitely OK this season to wear a sequined bag/shoe/skirt or top even in the daytime as long as its done right.

Large Gold 80's Inspired Jewelry:
Gold statement jewelry is one of the season's biggest trends. Throw on a large gold pendant, oversized ring or stack on a few pieces depending on how daring you are. I love all the Kenneth Jay Lane pieces below.

Parisian Chic:
This season it's all about the classic parisian style with a little bit of a twist. Large bows were spotted on many runways on blouses, headbands, shoes, belts, etc. Incorporate french style into your outfit with oversized bows, pearls, black and white stripes, classic chain bags, and top it off with some bold red lips. Just because we are not in paris, doesn't mean we can't bring it to us.

Leather pieces:
Make sure you have an awesome piece of leather in your closet this season. whether its shorts, a mini skirt, a jacket or some leather skinny pants, leather is a must have this fall. layer your fave leather mini or shorts with some interesting leggings and ankle boots. Wear your skinny leather pants with a boyfriend blazer or wear a little leather jacket over any outfit.
